I have forgotten and GE/Interlogix is closed for the 4th of July Holiday.
After a thunderstorm, I have a customer whose display LED's are cascading,
from top to bottom. What's it mean and how do I fix it?
Thanks,

I fixed it... One keypad was shorted, so hot you could not put your finger
on it the circuit board. The shorted keypad was dark. The other keypad,
had cascading lights. I changed both keypads and voila.... back up with the
original mother board.

Lucky you, whenever that happens to me, i dont have keypads to replace them
with since z1100's are old.. i usualy get the customer to upgrade, do it for
free, or work out some agreement.

You are lucky...this means no databus communication. Most times the keypads
blow up...

Jim's right No Data Bus communication..
Try cutting all power on system,
Then reapply power, one keypad at a time, till you find the bad one,
If all keypads continue to scroll led's, your data comm is faulty..
Only cure is to replace keypads or panel if the main data
uart is bad..
