I have a large screen computer monitor that every once in awhile goes
from a perfectly good picture to a white line across the middle of the
screen and black everywhere else. What can cause this? Easily
    repairable?

    Thanks

This is from loss of vertical deflection. This can be attributed from a
cold solder connection, or failing components in the vertical deflection
    circuits.

It would be advisable to have this serviced before it gets to be a
    serious problem with the monitor.

It could also be from a bad connector or connector pin or a loose plug,
    check these first...
