This set rolls for 20 minutes upon turn on and gradually settles down.
I plan to esr all the caps in the vertical circuit but I have no
schematic and was wondering if anyone has anything definite on this.
    Thanks, Lenny Stein, Barlen Electronics.

If this set has PIP, do a google groups search for Mitsubishi PIP
problems..... or similar search parameters. You will get lots of good hits
and good repair suggestions including bypass and repair procedures for the
    PIP module.

I would double check, but I think this model had the PIP module that
will have something like 28 bad surface mount capacitors on it. I am
sure there are capacitor problems in the video input/tuner switch
circuit near the switch ic on this model however.

The vertical circuit capacitors on the ic vertical outputs usually
cause foldover on top, some of the older Mitz sets it will cause
    vertical jitter on certain inputs.

You need to look in the signal path or sync circuits first before the
    vertical output stage.

I have had plenty of Mitz televisions in my shop with vertical rolling that
was caused by faulty caps IN THE PIP module.
If it were in my shop I would do a quick bypass (2 capacitors) of the PIP
module to verify where the problem is. Again, Lenny, go to google group
search and enter Mitsubishi PIP Bypass, you will find lots of help. If the
problem is in the PIP module then replacing the multitude of leaking smd
electrolytics is the first order of business, however, if the module traces
are very badly corroded because of the electrolyte leakage then you may have
to replace the PIP module or talk the customer into a permanent bypass.....
which for the majority of customers is just fine because many of them never
use it, don't know how to use it, or are on satellite and can't use it

I bypassed the PIP module and that took care of the problem. Thanks to
everyone who responded. I really appreciate it. best regards, Lenny.
