I'm visiting friends who have one of these TV's with a flat horizontal line.
It was in storage for 12 months... then 10mins after switch on it developed
the fault.
I've only got very basic tools and an analogue mm, and no circuit diagram
either
I'm not sure exactly what components are associated with this part of the
circuit.
The HV caps C906, 915 and 925 check out Ok as far as leakage and checked a
few low value resistors.
A burnt out track between C956(neg) to D556(anode) has been repaired at some
other time. No history on that fault.
If anyone has had any experience with this fault in , a standard list of
components worth testing or replacing or any other clues... it'd be much
appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
