Dear all,

I want to develop a circuitry which is able to detect electromagnetic waves(radio-wave , micro-wave).

This circuit will just act as a tamper detect and not physically measure/compute the radiation.

I have designed the circuit using toroid ring and few Schottky diodes.

The calculation formulae's are in the attachment.

After testing the circuit, I'm not getting any output.
Hence, I wanted to get the circuit as well as the calculation part of it verified.

Please note that the WAVE_SENSE signal in the design is connected to a 10-bit ADC of a Microcontroller.

Anyone related, Please help me achieve this task.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen toroidal or C-core transformers used where there is an interest to have some greater immunity to outside fields or not create any external field greater than necessary.
Is a reason that a toroid the natural shape for the recption antenna, sensor, sprry not so sure what to call that end?
Did not follow the connection to "tamper" but what sort of levels are you looking to detect. Normal radio signals can be rather low level, might need some amplification to get to a level the an ADC can see as greater then the first bit.

so ..... I aint going to purchase it
if you already have then please share the article or at least the schematic

Come on now, you know better than that when it comes to copyright infringement, surely.

Hello,

Toroid coils are usualy for low frequencies upto 100 MHz, depending on the type of core:
https://www.electronics-tutorials.com/basics/toroids.htm
FM radio is 88 to108 MHz.
Phone frequencies are in the range of 800 to 2000 MHz and many more for 5G:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_frequencies_in_the_US
A microwave oven is 2450 MHz.

After putting some thought and replacing the toroid with antenna/wire and also changing the normal diodes with high frequency diodes.
The below schematic is what i get. Will this work now??

This is a kit i built years ago & still use, ETI 724 was the article in the magazine ETI. But for some reasons now this site wont allow me to upload files any more.

I'm afraid that that circuit will "physically measure/compute the radiation".
.
Also ovens are strong sources. This device may not be very sensitive. It may not pick up the "radio-wave" things you wish.
.
Will these things be a problem?

@Nanren888 Why do you think this won't be able to detect radio-waves.
this is a problem if it wont.
I want to detect waves from cell phones as well as micro-waves.
