Hi everyone,

I need to know can I use Microcontroller as a device to Flow Electric current in my Circuit (the same as pressing a key) ?

Cheers,

I'm not sure what you mean, but you can use a microcontroller to control any number of devices which can act like a switch to control current flow.

Depending on your need, this might be a transistor, a relay, a solid state relay, a thyristor, or other things.

If you can tell us what you want to control, we can be more specific.

I have a circuit that can open door when press a key button. Now, I want to remove switch and use a controller instead of that to connect it to My PC then I send spicific packet to serial port and open the door (by application).

I guess the answer is to drive a relay then.

I'm not sure why you need a microcontroller though. You could just use one of the signals from the RS232 connector.

Can you help me with RS232 connector?
How should I use one of the signals?

The links contained within this link looks like a great site for anyone interested in PC & uC control. I wish I could speak German. Lots of really long words!
