Micro Moisture Detector

    Im sure someone out there in the UK can help.
    I need someone to make for me a micro moisture detector. I remember building one in school when I was about 12 and it was quite big. I have no idea how to build one now but require one as small as possible that can run off a small watch battery and give off an audible sound.

    Communication Standard

    The basic idea is very simple. You'll need a 3V lithium cell such as a CR2032. A small N-channel MOSFET can do the switching; the quiescent current will be very low. You can use a piezoelectric beeper for the alert - these are available with various options, but they're generally not very small.


    D1 is needed to protect Q1's gate from damage. R can probably be omitted; D1's leakage will probably be enough to pull Q1's gate low when there's no path between the probes. But you can add R to decrease the circuit's sensitivity; reducing R will reduce the sensitivity even more.

    They have lots of options. Most aren't very loud at 3V but a couple are (they're also a bit expensive):

    A small battery like a CR2032 won't last a very long time with the beeper beeping.
