Hi,
I have a Memorex MVT2135B 13" TV/VCR at home. I have a soldering iron.
The TV's on button got mashed back into the tv. I took a small
screwdriver and pried it to its old position. It still does not work.

The TV has 4 screws holding on the front cover. I think I should open
up the front and see what is the matter with the button, and maybe
solder it back into working condition.

Should I? If not why not? Have you ever done this model? Is there any
place where I can go to get cheep model information? Do you have any
final advice?

Gratefully,
Sean

Yes ! Get rid of that piece of junk.
If you need a part those people have got to be the worlds worst
at customer service and parts suppliers.

Kip,
Good try. But I am not flush with cash, rather the reverse. So I think
I can fix it with out anything more than existing stuff. If I have to
put a radio shack switch in, I may be able to do so.

What I really need is some idea of what I may enounter when I take the
front cover off. What problems I might enounter, and if possible,
solutions as well as how much hassle this simple looking repair will
be.
