  1. Dears,

I try to upgrade a Gericom NB as described in the subject line.
    The original SO-DIMMS 2x64MB consist of fore 8Bit Mem-Chips,
    two on each side.

    My replacement 2x256MB SO-DIMMS consist of 8x 4Bit Mem-Chips, fore on
each side, and as result the NB recognizes only 256MB RAM.

For better understanding I would like to now if a Bios upgrade could
help to get the full mem capacity or if this problem occurs due to hw
layout of the mb or Sis630 chip.

    Many thanks in advance.

Supports Memory Bus up to 133 MHZ
System Memory Size up to 1.5 GB
    Up to 512MB per Row
    Supports 16Mb, 64Mb, 128Mb, 256Mb, 512Mb SDRAM Technology
