My native language is not English and I sometimes have some problems to
understand answers when using abbreviations.

Let take an example :
"It had an o/c centre led."

What does "o/c" mean ? Out of control ?

Is there anywhere a site with the explaination of such a abbreviation ?
Thanks for your help

Don't feel bad about your english when it comes to this sort of thing.
There is no standard definition for that o/c abbreviation but it may be
used in the information you're reading in a common way that only the
context will reveal the meaning. I've seen such an abbreviation mean
variously "open circuit", "on center", "off card" so the exact wording
and context of the article is most important. Post some more of the
paragraph or article and I'm sure we'll all be glad to help.

Grannies and eggs maybe.
Putting one or a few themed abbreviations you
know + unknown term + abbreviations as keywords into Google is very likely
to
turn up something
eg
"o/c" "sw" "short wave" abbreviations
in Google turned up

for the meaning of words put in word + glossary
into Google often works

electronic hints and repair briefs , schematics/manuals list on
