    Hello there,

I am presently working on a energy harvesting circuit using RF source energy. I require a power management circuit which will allow me to deal with low levels of power obtained into my receiver circuit and charge a battery (for example a MEC - Microenergy cell).

I am looking at the MAXIM17710 IC for the power management. I have looked at the datasheet, and but I can't seem to find exactly how much power the IC alone requires to operate. Below is the link to the datasheet. I would appreciate it if someone can lead me in the right direction.

    Welcome, Pheezy, to our forum.

    Look at BATT quiescent current.
See also pin descriptin on page 7 and "operation" on page 9.

Ah I see. Thank you very much. So these ICs dont operate like typical op amps where there is a need of a supply voltage source.
