You can get the general theory on the web using google. I do not know if you will find any exact circuits.

If you are looking to measure heading, solid state sensors from Honeywell do a pretty good job and are much easier to interface. Honeywell has detailed app notes. There is a really good app note from Microchip about making a digital compass that details the whole circuit and the associated code.

Flux gate can be more accurate, but that depends upon the quality of the driver circuit. If you are looking for a schematic handed to you, you likely do not have the knowledge, understanding and experience to get a flux gate to perform better than what you easily achieve with a solid state compass.

The application note is AN996 from Microchip. It describes how you can make a 3-axis digital .compass. You do not have to use the particular microprocessor. You can use the application note to learn how to do it and use the circuit with another processor if you like.

I was simply looking for a drawing on a Raymarine or Furuno Autopilot Fluxgate.
It’s a shame that a new member gets such a condescending and arrogant response on their first posting. Apparently you don't have the "knowledge and understanding" that you think you do. And to think you are supposed to be "Senior" member?

Perhaps if you told us why you need a schematic. It seems now that you need a schematic of a particular type of fluxgate compass.

55p is not a "people person". Don't take it personally -- his posts often have a lot a valuable information, but his delivery is sometimes a little, um, abrupt.

Not knowing why you want the schematic (do you want to build one, o you want to know how they "tick", or are you trying to repair one) or your level of experience, it is difficult to tailor a response that will immediately be of use to you.

I am looking to "cross platform" connect a Furuno to a Raymarine system or a Northstar system. All three of them work about the same, but none of them will disclose was is "inside".

There is a reason every manufacturer keeps their designs "secret". They also go to lengths to prevent you from doing exactly what you are trying to do. If you have their system installed, they would like you to upgrade to their product rather than installed someone else's. Making the hard to replace parts like the flux gate non-compatible is one way.

If you had asked your question more clearly, you would have gotten the answer you were looking for. You come looking for "schematics" from any manufacturer in "electronics chat" forum and the implication is that you are looking to build one and you get the appropriate response for that.
