    Hehe, search terms are always a challenge.. Yes, at 600V, 1A average, 30A peak, & 150ns reverse recovery time i figure it will fit the bill & do the job.
    Looking a Elfa's selection you could also use an UF4007 (75ns) or a BYV26C (30ns) but I doubt if the difference would matter, the 1N4937 looks solid.
