I want to make my own LED display panel for my project "Electronic Scoreboard". We have decided certain budget for the project so purchasing one from the market is not feasible.

If anyone has made it already, or have some resources which are apt towards making LED panel, please do share. size of the panel is say 15"*12". Any help will be appreciated.

You are probably better off getting a microcontroller, and a bunch of LED's

just set it up with some count up/down buttons, reset buttons

total cost would probably be around 100-120 (no promises just a ball park)

In order to make your own LED display you can got either of the following ways:
1. Make yopur display from the scratch including circuit design, selecting MCU and soldering everything.
2. You can choose some DIY LED display kit and use it in your project, that is the very faster way to learn that technology.
In that case you will only need to connect that KIT with your LED mesh and you can start programming the display.
Here are some options for the same:

Hope that will help you.
