Which keypad do you have? Sounds like an older 700 series. The Alpha
Displays are allot better looking. Does it look a little like a Radionic's
Keypad? And yes, you can do in/out readers with a DMP keypad. The 793 has a
HID prox card reader built into the face of it, and you can also add a
reader to the other side of the door. If you want to do anti-passback, you
will need a 791 (Keypad), and a 733 Weigand Interface Module at the door.
Make sure you have a 791, or a 793 Keypad. The older 770 series were VTF's
like Radionic's. Does it look like this: http://virtualkeypad.com

Yeah, something like that. Read it in a complete sentence. Instead of just
reading the things that get your balls in an up-roar. I can help you hear
things, I just can help you listen to them.

Remember the "Motto" Robert. Dress like a whore, think like a pimp.
It was just a "personal opinion". I have nothing against a legitimate
business.
Some people support their efforts and do things different, others just make
the sell.
I don't have any beef's with DIY's and the businesses that sell stuff to
them, it's **usually** supported. I have a problem when a Doctor buys
equipment from the Internet, and then asks me to install it for him. But
that's never happened...

For one, it further adds to the growing, well actually stagnant, false alarm
rate. True there are idiots everywhere, but I think I know where the higher
percentages are, as do you. It's turned the industry into paper salesman,
and has little to do with protection anymore. There is a difference between
being "certified" vs. "able", or "qualified" vs. "able".

Jack

Again so what? DMP panels already add to the false alarm rate just like any
other panel (yes we monitor many), A panel is judged on how well it is
installed and how reliable it is not how it is distributed.

That's what AlarmNet is Charging a Central Station. $50.00 per month for a
UL Connection. $600.00 Bucks a Year. And the receiver doesn't even fit in a
rack, it mounts on wall, like a keypad. For a slave communicator.

Jack

Didn't know that and yes the 7810R receiver does mount like that, handy
little device

Dress like a whore, think like a pimp.
Appearance is in the eye of the beholder. Ever had an encounter with a
programmer? Dice had this guy who was...well. We had a meeting with a
Fortune 500 companies CEO, President, CTO, and Director of Security. All
suit and tie...you know $500.00 suites. Then in walks this programmer from
Dice. Looked like he rolled out of a bail of hay. Smartest guy I have ever
met. Man he had everybody's knee's knocking, but he knew his stuff.
That's exactly what it means.

Damn Mark. Know your interjecting with common sense. How it's installed, and
by whom makes all the difference, as you stated. Maybe there's a reason you
have some DMP accounts and are not a dealer. But I guarantee DMP didn't sell
the equipment to your customers did they? They were put in by a dealer who's
no longer around? They didn't become a dealer because they called in with a
credit card, did they? I agree, there are "so called" professionals who
don't know shit about their equipment, and/or how to truly install it
correctly. But the chances are allot slimmer through a distributed network
of any Manufacturer, not just DMP, or any other specifically. The
percentages of over the counter distribution far exceeds the issues of any
one Manufacturer such as DMP, Radionic's, or those similar that fully
support a dealer, his technicians, sales staff, and Central Station efforts.
Lets just end this pissing contest and say we both agree to disagree. I
value your input, and I think we're both beneficial to the cause.

Nope

Still around

I have no idea how they became a DMP dealer, they've since switched to
Ademco V-15P's

Why? Can you name specific studies on this?

I have no beef with you other than what seems to be your opinion that the
main reason you use DMP is the way it is distributed which again I find
strange. If I am incorrect please let me know

Yeah, right.
I read pretty well.Your pattern is to make outrageous statements, and when
called on it, you claim to be misunderstood. I've seen it before, so it's
no surprise.

No, I take no offense, I simply made an observation reference your need to
belittle others to puff yourself up, and the similarity of your style to
jiminex.

I can't help you from confusing someone here with some experience, vs. some
of the bullshiters. Then again I could give two shits if you were able to
anyway. I'm pretty straight forward, but I will irritate a few here, and I
will definitely not be "misunderstood".

Belittle others? I don't take this NG personal, like a few here. I counter
when someone makes a statement about something they no nothing, or little
about. If you counter on something that I feel is a personal opinion, I'm
simply going to defend myself. Especially when it turns personal in nature.I
still do learn things on a daily basis, but I have also learned a few things
over the years. You just can't separate someone with some experience. I'm ok
with that because I don't take it personal. You are full of assumptions. I
have little.
