LXI 47" Projection TV ?

While watching my LXI tv one night, i heard a pop sound and then there
was no more picture but i did have sound. I tried the menu button and
nothing. I turned off TV and let it rest and turned it back on and still
"NO PICTURE" but yes i still had sound. Does anyone have any idea on
what might have happened, if so, i would greatly appreciate feedback.
And Thank You in advance.

p.s. LXI tv is 7 yrs old and i don't have a users manual for it, so i'm
left in the dark trying to figure this out

May want to post the complete model number and chassis number if available.
That way we are not guessing as to what LXI PTV it may be.

You need to call in a qualified technician for proper and safe
diagnosis of the failure inside the tv set. This way they can provide
you with an estimate for repair and you can make an intelligent
decision as to whether it is worth fixing or not.

Be aware that most RPTV in home repairs come in the range of $200-$400
US.

An LXI 47" about 7 years old is most likely a Philips manufactured unit. The
symptom "popped and went out" sounds like either a H.V. failure (hopefully), or
a blown Blue CRT (hope not). Either is beyond the abilities of the novice. Get
it checked by somebody who's familiar with this series of sets.

I saw a lot of the older Philips units with the blue crt cracked down the
middle and all the coupling fluid sucked inside, usually a new CRT, a HOT
and a 0.39 ohm flameproof resistor took care of it... You could pull the
screen off and look in the lenses with a flashlight and see if any of the
tubes have cracked. FYI CRT's are usually around $175.00 and up depending on
the model.

FYI the blue ones are considerably more, since there are few of them left in
stock, and Philips doesn't want to be caught short on a warranty repair.
