loose/bad component video jack?

Hello
I have a JVC AV32F703 that appears to have a loose component jack. When
watching a DVD, the picture will occasionally lose blue tones. By messing
with the component cable on the TV end, the blue tones are restored. If I
wiggle the jacks themselves too much, I intermittently loose the picture
entirely. These "symptoms" make me think I have a loose/bad jack. If it
is just a loose solder joint, I'm sure I can fix it myself. Just wanted to
know if there is anything I should watch out for removing the back of the
TV, and ask if anyone might have a diagram/procedure from the service
manual.

Thanks,
Ray

There must be a cold solder inside, or the jack is defective and has to be
changed.

Just wanted to
know if there is anything I should watch out for removing the back of the
TV,

There are a lot of smds in the jack panel area, and the board is very fragile.
If you crack the board or damage the foils, you've got big problems.
Otherwise, it's not a repair that requires a service manual unless you damage
something.

Maybe but make sure that it's not the cable itself before
entering the unit.
