    Hi there,

I'm trying to programme my cloned arduino pro minis and having trouble getting the USB to serial converter to work. I've got a PL2303HX based converter which seems to be obsolete and not properly supported.

So i'm hoping someone can recommend a usb to serial that is compatible with windows 10.

    Thanks,

Im not fully Familiar with the adaptor but have you tried manually finding updated drivers for it?
most of the usb to serial adaptors run off the 2303 anyway :p

    Hi, thanks for the replies.

Yes, i've updated the drivers (backwards actually). What i've found online suggests going back to an older driver as the current one doesn't work with windows 10.

I then get an AVRdude error when uploading to the board.

I'll try one of the ones you suggest Kiwi.
