    HI All,

    (Newbie here)

I'm looking for an (inexensive) instrumentation chip which ideally would be very similar to the SemTech SX8724 (~$3 at Future Electronics). The chip has is perfect for my application but I can't mount it :-[(>

The SX-8724 is a 4 x ch differential mux into a 3 stage PGA (internal ref) driving a 16 bit ADC, all digital I/O via I2C/SPI serial port. Slick little gadget, but, it is a 3 mm x 3 mm no-lead package.

    http://www.semtech.com

I've been looking around for awhile and I can't find anything close. I can sort-of replicate the functions for around $30 & four ICs.

Help! Any leads would be appreciated.

    Thanks if advance

Anyone know how to in-home-lab solder these type packages...reliably?
