I found this at the Habitat for Humanity store.

It is Humongous! Over 2 ft deep and maybe 14" x 18" on the front. And still, they needed a separate power supply (the box at the bottom of the cart). Marked $175 and labelled as "Antique Oscilloscope." It is dual trace, but only one probe included. Makes me appreciate the size of my Rigol DSO.

There must be someone out there who thinks tubes make better oscilliscopes.

I used to lug a very similar one of those up 4 flights in an aircraft carrier conning tower. It's a beast.

LOL :D:D, you spotted that at a Restore?! That is pretty amazing, the things we find down here are not as noteworthy...

Hey! What's not to like about this? For a measly 175 buckaroos you get (1) a vintage Tektronix 551 dual-beam o'scope WITH (2) a power supply and (3) a connecting "special" cable plus (4) a spiffy roll-about cart with TWO spare plug-in module storage slots and (5) two vertical deflection modules (one a dual-channel) with up to 27 MHz vertical bandwidth. This is a technician's "dream" 'scope! Look at it from the side, with the panels removed, to see the ceramic terminal blocks requiring special silver solder if you need to replace an easily accessible part, the distributed vertical amplifier with a dozen or so matched pentode vacuum tubes requiring only a few hours to setup and align... I could go on and on about the features of this beauty!

And did I mention it's luggable!? Check out those two convenient carrying handles on the top. Comes with "whole house" cooling fan, too!

What a great find, Bob! I am sure Morticia wouldn't let you pass this one by.:D

Edit: above images are from this website.

I must admit, she was impressed with the size :)

But instead, we bought a Chippendale Mahogany dining table that will be gorgeous in the mansion.
