Login screwed up.

The site is still showing a screwy initial condition!
When going to the site, my avatar shows at the top and the pull down has the usual options including the last which is Log Out.
But if I go to any post it says I must log in to post, if I click log in, it says I am now logged out.
So it requires a new log in.
So why is it showing I am logged in when I am not??
Just a tortuous way of logging on.!!

I do not have that issue. Could it be your browser's local cache playing tricks on you?
Test by using an "in private" or "incognito" browser window.

No issue here either, so I'd try Haralds suggestion and see if logging in using a different browser or via an in "private" mode works. If so, it sounds like a local cache/cookie problem.
