Hi, I'm a beginner LED chick, right now I'm learning the basics of LED circuits with breadboards & 9 volt batteries. Eventually I'd like to make LED jewelry and small ornaments/artwork, so I would like to use coin batteries instead of clumsy 9-volts.

After reading the site about LED throwies I am getting the impression I wouldn't need any resistors with a simple 3V battery(ies). So all I would need is a switch, the smaller the better. Secondly, I'm curious about a mounting for the 3V coin battery. I take stuff apart to see what makes it tick, and I find the coin batteries stacked up inside a metal cylinder. I haven't found any place where you can buy these, and I'm not sure how I can make a mounting for the coin batteries. Just taping the legs of the LED to the coin battery isn't very secure or elegant, and sticking a piece of cardboard between the lead and the battery isn't a very elegant way of turning it on or off.

Anybody into this kind of stuff, drop a line!
