LED Strip Around a frame

Hey Everyone,

My friend just found this LED strip at his work and unfortunately there's no information with it. That being said, I am a painter and wanted to wire some of the lights around a frame.

I think this is a 12V LED strip, does that mean that I can light as few or as many as I want just by wiring it to a 12V power supply? I don't understand how it works and any really basic explanations to enlighten me on why/how would be so awesome!

Maybe your friend's supervisor knows what was ordered. It is always easier with the datasheet available.
