LED indicator on/off light

    I have several projects that I would like to add an LED indicator light to show that its on when the LED light is lit. I am using 110v. Any help would be appreciated

    and do these porjects work off a stepped down and rectified to DC voltage ?

    give a bit more info on the projects :)

    most of the projects use wallworts with different voltages but all are DC voltage. 1 project I took apart a 9v 500ma dc wallwort added a capacitor to help cut any hum and put it in a metal box to use as a power source for 3 guitar effects pedals. There is no indicator light on it.
