A toxicologist who used to work in the same lab I did told me
that he had done a research project on solder fumes, and he agreed
that lead in the fumes was not the issue... but that there was
something else nasty in there that *was* a problem. I just don't
recall now what it was... guess I've inhaled too many fumes!
any time you heat an organic substance up that hot there's going to be
nasties produced - dioxin and the like...
