I had a panasonic PT-L592U that has notorius LCD problems.

I got another projector that is a sharp XG-E850U, and it has no bulb, also
the ballast will not start the bulb from the panasonic.

the bulb i have is 260w, and the ballast is 150w or something like that, So
i wired it to where the panasonic projector started the lamp, and the sharp
projected the image, and it worked great, until today.

the 12v wire come off the ballast, and hit something while it was on, and
blew the balast apart in the oscillator stage.

i have no way to start the bulb now.

the 150w ballast wont start, and it goes into thermal shutdown.

It took out 2 transistors, a capacitor, and the chip. The chip has the
markings "RD1695A" its not a real chip, its just a silicone slab type of
chip, which means you can see the little SMD ICs coverd in silicone.

Any ideas where we can cross this chip? or can i just get a transformer
ballast that drives mogul base bulbs to drive this bulb?

Is there a way where i can build a circuit to drive the black lamp
transformer? It just has 3 primary winding pins, and 2 feedback shutdown
pins.

Any ideas??

Why don't you just buy the correct bulb for the ballast in the projector?

the ballast was bad, was the reason why i used the ballast in the other
projector. The wire came loose, shorted something in the ballast, and
shitcanned the other ballast.

What I want to know, will a ballast from a MH light fixture work?

both ballasts are bad.

Thats why the bulb was pulled in the first place.
