With the little experience and knowledge that I have Im attempting to repurpose an old imac screen. I purchased an mnt68676 controller board using the model number from the lcd screen. When I connect it all up it seems to work as an image appears on the screen, the backlight flashes on for a quick second, my 5amp desk top power supply goes into overload then the controller board turns off. Ive tried hooking up the original backlight inverter and the backlights works and stay on but the power supply still goes into overload. Ive googled about every topic i could think of and I even phoned the local TV repair shop but he wanted nothing to do with it. Also the imac did work previously. My goal here is to make a contained retro gaming console with the imac and retropie, ive put countless hours into tho project and I do not want to turn back now. So any help would be absolutely awesome!
