Hi

I received direct from China today my LCD 3.5" display, but it has stopped working! It had been working for about 10 mins but exhibited a horizontal line ripple effect at regular intervals of about 10 seconds. Now screen is blank after very briefest of flashes. I have contacted seller and probably will want a refund rather than a replacement item.

I open the back panel to have a look at the circuit and was surprised to find that it wasn't fuse protected (picture below).

I had the item wired up via a splitter with two other devices powered from an unregulated AD/DC adapter output 12v 2A. I have tested the adapter and its outputting 12.12v.

Device 1: DVR
DC 12v
<= 250 mA

Device 2: Camera
DC12v
Max. l30mA

Device 3: LCD 3.5" LCD display
DC 6v - 36v
250 mA

The resistor (105) to the right of the 12v+ looks a little messed up.

A Chinese product, sold through eBay, that didn't work properly? Surely not! LOL

Do you have a question?

solder

is that blob of solder from ground to 12 volt trace shorting things out? the whole circuit looks pretty sloppy IMO

It's hard to see what is next to the 1M resistor due to shading. From what I can see though, it's not an issue.

no problems there :) looks like a little after initial manufacture solder touch-up
that also left that small solder blob mentioned below

yeah it is, but considering the board tracks are covered and then the whole board is lacquered its not likely to be a problem
( Ohhh - the 12V is referring to the wire termination point, not that track ... note the writing for the other connection points ;) )

Hi Noobster,
We are a distributor of electronic components, including LCD, if there is anything, i can help, let me know.

Regarding the LCD u mentioned, as i thought, it maybe second hand, or copies, what's the brand of it by the way?

We know this market, and the goods from the market, we can check whether the LCD is new if u need.

Liu Ping,

I have deleted another message you posted as it was dangerously close to spam.

Please be very careful to note that this forum is for people to offer help, NOT to promote their businesses.

If what you post is not what a disinterested third party might post about your business then the message will be deleted and you will be banned for being a spammer.

As an example, you can link to your web site if that link is (say) to a datasheet that assists the user with their enquiry. However if you link to a page selling the item when the user is clearly not asking where to buy one, then you cross the edge.
