I have a EVOKD-1910T that useed to make a snapping sound once in a while.
Until after such a snap it refused to start up again. The power supply is
cycling, I can hear the sound of the relay and I can see the power light
cycling green and yellow.

Since it is out of warranty, I opened the case and found a busted
electrolytic capacitor, C903, 100V 1uF, bi-polar (or non-polar). It was
busted at botom, not at top, so it took me some time to notice it. I took
out the HOT and measured the voltage at colector: 207V. I also could see
light at CRT filaments. The HOT seemed OK when measured with an ohmmeter.

I would like to ask for opinions in 2 problems:

1. Since I can trace the busted capacitor at the ABL of the flyback, do you
think the flyback is busted too? Should I order a replacement?

2. I cannot find a replacement for the defective cap. I think it is a Korea
Chemi-Con, KME-D non-polarized, 105C (M), 100V, 1uF. Can I replace it with
a tantalum with the same values, 100v and 1uf?

Thanks.
