Hello all. I have a JVC TV model AV-27S33 that was manufactured in
Sept. 2002. One day recently, the screen went black. The picture
came back in about 2 seconds, but everything is very green. Changing
the color/tinting setting do not resolve the issue. Any suggestions on
fixes, or guidlines as to what a repair woul dcost at a shop?

Thanks for any help.

I dunno what tubes you Americans have but we have Philips tubes in our sets
of the same age in the UK and they're c**p. the guns fail
( no cutoff of one colour) all too often. sometimes you can alter the
balance to an acceptable setting , but if you've a colour missing
red/green/blue then its probably a new tube needed.
If you have just got a colour cast then I can give you instructions to get
into the service menu & adjust- only if you feel competant to do it
however!!
