JVC TV Fault

Hi,

I have a JVC AV-21TS2EK TV that has developed a fault. A few minutes after
power-on, the picture becomes very liney, and disappears to the bottom half
of the screen.
Constant pressure on the top back left of the TV stops it happening! Any
ideas?

maybe the poweramplifier for the vertikal deflection is defektive.

ESR the caps in the vertical deflection and supply circuits, also may
require the vertical output ic.

Suspect cold/bad, solder joints, in the vertical area. Well worth taking to
your set to a shop for an estimate.

Looks like a dry joint on the field output chip. Have a good look with
a magnifying glass.
