A congenital harmful mental affliction striking those poor souls
before the age of reason. The pathogen usually travels from parents
to children. The prognosis is evil. Can infect whole populations if
left unchecked. The only known cure is reason, although sin has been
found to be an effective temporary remedy in some cases..

Take all the children from age 0 in the middle east and separate them
from their parents and religious bigots and school them together
without religion for a generation. Teach logic empathy and
compassion, along with math history, art and science. Problem solved.

Global warming isn't any harder to solve - and just as unlikely.

death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanished, war eliminated."

  5. Ah, yes. The woman who removed prayer from schools in the US. Did
you ask her how things turned out? What's that? She's disappeared, and
the son that she wanted to be shielded from prayer and God has turned
    against her? Oh, well.

Service to my country? Been there, Done that, and I've got my DD214 to
    prove it.

Michael, It's here where we differ (I think). I don't believe
religion (of ANY sort) belongs in PUBLIC schools.

(See, you lurkers presume, incorrectly, that all right-wingers are
    religious nutcases.)
Turned against her? It's likely the son murdered her for the money.

I met Madalyn Murray O'Hair at a Mensa meeting in Tucson, around
thirty years ago. Yes, I was a Mensan back then... dropped out after
a BIG confrontation with some clown who thought "smart" people should
be paid an income just because they're "smart", NOT for productivity
    (as I argued).

Shut up, just shut the **** up.
  8. Actually you can't get it out of schools. As long as there are school
bullies, pop quizzes, book reports and the like (not to mention school
shootings) prayer will be frequent, genuine and intense.

What there ISN'T is prayer in churches. As long as someone else tells you
what to say, where to say it, how to say it or who to say it with it isn't
prayer - it's magic spells and no different from walking widdershins around
a cauldron naked but covered in woad.
No, he got infected with jeesus and turned against her. She was murdered by
criminals - and the money they stole was stolen from them by a couple of

  13. You fanatics are truly brain-locked, aren't you?

Nobody ever said kids aren't _allowed_ to pray at school - have you
    ever seen a pop quiz?

The fact is, government agents (i.e., taxpayer-funded school officials)
are probihited to _require_ any kind of prayer.

But those of you who deny Free Will apparently don't know the difference,
as in "Anything that is not expressly mandatory is prohibited!"

Thanks for once again showcasing the poster boy for closed-mindedness.
