Does anyone know where I might be able to find a ISA connector, or even just
a 62 pin(32x2) card edge connector with 0.1" pitch. I check all the local
electronic stores near me any none of them carry this item.

32 x 2 = 62 only for slightly small values of 2.

Otherwise, 32 x 2 = 64.

Will they accept personal cheques or money orders? I don't have a credit
card. Will they also sell to non-trade people, I know that some suppliers
are a bit fussy about that.

given the hassel of getting one, it might be quicker to find a broken
/ old mother board with one and de-solder it.
Can you recommend a way of doing that? I've tried with smaller connectors and
it was very difficult to get all the solder out and pull the socket out.

Check (no pun intended) with them, they may prefer a bank cheque than a
personal. Non-trade is no problemo. At a pinch they'll probably take cash.

A solider sucker would work (no idea if there is a more correct term
for them).
I have seen it done with a good one as well as cheap new ones. The
older cheap ones stop working very well over time.

Beyond that, just practice.

As to where to get a good / resonable one, most electronic shops that
have soldering equipment should.

A

note that solder wick would not be very good for this job as the holes
would be too small / through hole plated,
Solder suckers need to be cleaned properly pretty often, and the nozzles
replaced, if possible, when they start to get worn. They're not necessarily
going to be able to get a large connector off a plated through board though
if the pins are a snug fit in the holes. A proper vacuum-sucker would be
better, but it can still be bloody awkward.
