It depends on the type of lighting. If it's theatre and event lighting,
then rec.arts.theatre.stagecraft is good. If it's disco stuff then I'm
not sure if there's a good group or not.

Thanks Clive,
I'm already reading that group, I was hoping that there'd be one more
specific to lighting.
I don't have any specific quetions, but do enjoy learning more from reading
others comments.

Cheers,
Ric

Take a look at "Lightnetwork" on Delphi forums. Lots of good info and
comments.

I second that. The Light Network (www.lightnetwork.com) is pretty
much the industry's premiere forum. There you can find discussions
about numerous products, programs, techniques, etc. There isn't a
dedicated newsgroup for this, however.

Unfortunately, there is only an empty page.

However, with more than 50.000 newsgroups, there should be a dedicated
newsgroup about this matter.

Works for me now. Maybe there was a blip?

Well... if there is need, you could propose one. I suspect that most of
those who would use it are already active on rec.arts.theatre.stagecraft
or the lightnetwork forum. I recommend lurking on both for a bit and
seeing which fits your interests more closely.

RATS is, as Clive has said, theatre related and not entirely about
lighting. Lightnetwork is mostly about moving lights and other shiny toys.

This website needs cookies. Works fine now.

Proposing one might be a good idea. Newsgroups certainly have advantages
above web-based fora.

Well, I love conventionals, but moving lights are here now too;-)
