Is this a forum for civilised technical discussion?

RVMJ is a bitter old woman who has for years
sniped at me. She is always on the attack and never
has anything pleasant to say. Her outburst below
is one example. She is best ignored. She is of no
value to any technical discussion.
Nor are you for that matter by your current
examples of postings.

I repeat a previous observation wrt, "EEng".....

"Why do appeals for civilised behaviour invoke the very
worst in co-respondents, especially from the three guilty parties
referenced above?"
Because it is you that is posting. Your previous posts have annoyed many
people who now do not believe anything you say and that if you say
something is so then it must really be the opposite.

Gareth, do you ever get the feeling that everyone else is out of step
and YOU are the only one in step?

This is exactly how you are perceived to be by the rest of us.

Do you ever feel that _everyone_ is picking on you?
Don't you think there might possibly be a good reason for this?
I merely observe that I responded point-by-point to each
technical matter that EEng discussed, but that she's now shut up on
technical discussion and has relapsed into the school playground;
the school playground which, perhaps, was the whole motivation
driving her original post?

You may well perceive the comments to be playground comments, others
see something which is closer to the truth which is that of YOU and you
alone resorting to playground mode.

On those rare occasions when you have posted a sensible question or
provided a sensible response, what I have seen is you being shown the
utmost courtesy.

Basically, it means your whole attitude towards others is wrong.
Insults and discourtious comments which are your stock response to
anything with which you disagree, achieve nothing and mark you up as an
extreme fool.

In every discussion there are bound to be other points of view, likely
they will be at odds with your own point of view, but that does not
make them automatically wrong just different. If everyone held the same
point of view, then there would be nothing worthy of being discussed.
