iRDA compliant IR modules

Discussion in 'Hobby Electronics' started by Peter Johnson, Jun 8, 2004.

  1. Hi All,

Does anyone know an Australian supplier of 3 volt full-power iRDA SIR
compliant transceiver modules that carries them in stock? About the only
special requirements are right-angle mounting and a receiver shutdown pin.

We were previously using the Agilent HSDL1001 devices which have become end
of life and we are looking for a replacement device. While they can easily
be sourced off-shore it's always good to have a local supplier for any
shortfalls. A few of the obvious sources like RS & Farnell have them listed
but either don't have any stock or are just listing other devices that are
    also end of life.

We'll need a PCB redesign so a seperate detector and emitter are also on the
cards, as long as the detector operates at 3V and has a logic output.
