Anyone know of software that records video from IP security cameras.
We have a Sony SNC-Z20N and are looking for a compatable program.
It came with a demo version of Sony SELVA, but the full version is
$1,500.00!!!
Try ebay.com and do a search for AXIS 2100. These cameras allow you to
upload images whenever motion is detected by a motion detector. Normal
prices for these cameras is $250 - $350. Most of the cameras shown at
ebay are in the $270 range (for a new unit).
Total cost for a monitoring system would be $40 for a motion sensor and
about $275 for an AXIS 2100 camera.
A demonstration of one of these cameras can be seen at

The password is "acasdemo". When the screens appear click with the left
hand mouse button and hold until the pop-down window appears. Drag the
mouse to the "Cameras" selection and click. A four camera screen will
appear and only cam1 is currently activated. Clicking in the picture
element will magnify the image.
Our commercial systems store the image; however, on this residential
system we do not have a motion sensor attached to the camera.
What you are looking at when you type in the password is an on-line
access control system, with alarming capability, and video surveillance
functionality.
We are looking for companies/individuals who would like to
sell/distribute our systems. They are ideally suited for commercial
applications. The systems are reliable and inexpensive.
