Integrated random voice switch

I'm interested in a low voltage dc circuit that is activated by a physical switch. That activates a random switch that turns on, for between 15 seconds and 30 seconds, a second circuit that is voice activated that turns on a small dc motor.

By 'voice-activated' do you mean by specific 'word' or just any sound?

If by 'word' then you're looking at a fairly sophisticated processing task that requires complex programming techniques. On the upside, such a processor would easily cope with the simpler random timing function.

No specific word(s). Any spoken (screamed) sound should activate it.

There are many commercial sound-activated switches - they might still be referred to as 'clapper switches'.

I want the sound activated switch to function only when it hears noise. If there is no noise the motor is off. The clapper devices require a second noise to turn off. Regarding the random, I want it to have a physical on which will remain on for the random time(s) of 15 to 30 seconds, then shut down until physically turned on again.

You wont find all of this in one or even a combination of commercially available devices. What is your experience level at building your own circuits, if any?
