I noticed there are quite a few "Professionals" in this group. I
thought it would be kind of interesting to find out which system is
most trusted by alarm professionals in their own home.

So without going into long sales pitches, which systems do you Pros
trust and use in your house?

Personally, I have a DMP XR-200-485 in my house (slight over-kill).
I like DMP.

Ademco products as much as I hate programming them are very reliable.

Why is the word Professionals in quotations?

ELK M-1 Gold. Before that, Paradox Spectra, and before that DSC 864, and
before that Ademco Vista 128. :))

I have an Ademco Vista20P, zone doubled, ENH Receiver, with 3 Alpha keypads.
Before that I had a DSC 864, 832, PC1550. I was very happy with the 864, but
I wanted to add reliable wireless sensors for my sheds & boats. ITI would
have been my next choice, but the Concord Express only does 17 zones, and
the Concord is overkill and expensive.

*** Good choice... I recently replaced my Vista-20 (AM-100, I think, from
the SecurityLink days) with an XR200.

I have a DMP XR-40 with an iCOMsl (Internet Router), an ePad (Virtual
Keypad), 3 791 alpha keypads (controlling 3 access doors/keyless entry), and
a Panasonic KX-HCM280 mouted outdoors. I have 2 circuits of floodlights (6
total) which come on on alarm.
I had an XR-200/485 but sold it....
I had a 9112 in my old house....
The house I just bought had a Cadx panel in it, but R.H.C. must have put a
lock code in it, so I 86'd it....

Definitely cool having a zillion zones and controlling my irrigation with relays. I haven't gotten around to adding prox readers & locks yet...can't find the locks I want for residential (don't want mag locks on the house).

Thinking of swapping out my 690's for 7060 keypads...they look a little goofy but the button action is nicer.

i haven't found anything i'd want to use in my house, as opposed to commercial stuff.

Check the RCI line at ADI....I love them baby's. They're easy to install
too.

I'll see if I can dig up a part number....have to search the files. I did
house/business with 8 of them.
