Inductance with DMM?

Find a DMM with an inductance range.

I do have one with inductance, but feeding a signal into the inductor
and resistance should give you a voltage that will indicate inductance.
I can't remember if the meter i have also measures capacitance, but
the procedure is the same.

Basically...
Put a sine gen on a RL cct and use the DMM to measure the AC level
across the coil.
Then do math..
Beware of the limitations and restrictions..

DMMs with capacitance ranges are common enough, but I've never seen one with
inductance - it probably wouldn't be very accurate if you did find one.

Peak Atlas instruments do a LCR meter for about the price of a good DMM.

ARRL Radio Amateurs Handbook had(has?) a circuit for measuring inductance
with a DMM. IIRC,there was a company that offered a kit of parts + PCB,too.
