My parents have bought a holiday home in Goa, India.
The home is very nice apart from one thing - there is no Air Conditioning
System at all and out in India they are usually very big and expensive.
We normally live in the UK and have purchased a Peltier Drinks Fridge and I
have seen that you can buy standalone Peltier Junctions.
1) What is the likelyhood of being able to use one of these devices to cool
a closed room?
2) Am I correct in thinking that when using these devices - the hotter it
is outside the cooler it is inside when using this device? I've noticed
with our fridge the drinks seem colder on hot days.
3) I have a brand new UPS for my computer - In India there are frequent
power cuts - the one I have is rated as 600 VA - Can I use it to run a TV
instead of a PC - approx 21 inch screen? Often power cuts there are
frequent but only for a few minutes at a time - so if this UPS could
provide even 10 minutes of power for a TV that would be really handy and
also means if the power fails at night the light from the TV screen will
mean we can see where we all are.
