increasing the voltage out from a 7812 ?

hi, is there any way to increase the out put voltage from a 7812 voltage
regulator ?
i need to increase it to about 13.8 volts .

Place 3 diodes in the ground leg and you'll raise the output by 1.8 volts or
use a
variable resistor there instead. The input must be at least 2 volts above
the
output in all cases however.
