Impedance Matching for Passive Filters

Greetings,

This was going to be one for the guitar forum but the only people would would really be able to answer it are here :p

A basic guitar circuit looks something like this:

There is alot of debate over pot values and what are the best to use. What I was wondering is if a small transformer was added, how much control over the frequency response would this give?

The inductance of the pickup is an important factor (as is the resistance of the volume control. If we assume the input impedance of the amplifier is high, that can be ignored..

Once you have that, then one could work out the frequency response.

We have some members who would do it in their head, asleep -- I'm not one of them.
