Identifying Part

    Can anybody tell me what this part is?

    It has WX223KG printed on top of it. Small plastic package 2 leg device.

    It have attached a picture, I believe it is attached to the Discharge leg of a 555 timer on one side and ground on the other.

    My guess is that it's a 0.022 uF capacitor

    I agree with the other fella about it being a 0.022 uf capacitor. Usually a capacitor of some value is connected to pin 5 of a 555, & with a capacitor marked '223' that means 22 times 10 to the power of 3 in picofarads, or .022uf!
