Identification

Trying to identify this component to a hot tub circuit board. I believe it controls voltage to the spa light. The idenfiying numbers on it are non existent. It is marked TRC2 on the board.

It could be a TRIAC.

If it is a TRIAC are they universal in replacement or voltage/amp specific?

If it is a triac, it must have adequate current and voltage characteristics. However, you will need to determine why it failed.
