icorporate music into painting. where do i start??

My wife and I are working on a project for a friend that involves incorporating music and lighting into a painting. We would like it to turn out like something you would buy in a store. Dependng on how it turns out we may continue on with other projects of the same nature. We know exactly what we want with the lighting and music , but don't know where to begin. Any tips or information would be extremely beneficial. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. If you want to get help from people here, you'll have to describe exactly what it is you want to do. You have an image in your mind of what the finished thing will look like and how it will act, but none of us do. Thus, the first requirement is good communication of what it is. Describe its behavior in words and include sketches if appropriate.
