How exact does it need to be?
You should be looking into making oscillators, as building a simple 'timer' with a capacitor and resistor will not be very accurate and will vary quite a bit.

    Kashif,
What motor are you using to turn the eggs... voltage and current?

There re a lot of home-type timers as above, and industrial timers such as barn ventilation timers, that are very simple to use and very reliable. If you really want to build something from scratch as a project, we're here to support that. But it is not the most simple or least expensive solution. A chip called a CD4060 (plus some resistors and capacitors) can make a signal that is 1 hour on and 1 hour off, but not very accurate. A CD4521 can use a small crystal for better accuracy. But you'll need some kind of power source, plus a driver to control the motor, and a box or some kind of package to protect it, plus at least one power connector for the motor.

Drip water into a bucket on an axle and when it tips over, a rope will turn the eggs.
