What is the input voltage? Are there any other requirements? What are you using it for?

What is the input voltage?
My guess is the op want a dc/dc converter from 2 V to 5 V.

@Docria : There is no better or best module without knowing what quality attributes you consider. Some modules may be small, but expensive, others may be inexpensive but big. Other modules again may be very effective but expensive, others my be comparatively ineffective (dissipate more power as waste) but cheap.

What you are looking for is a step-up dc/dc converter module. USe your favorite search engine to find one that mathces your requirements. If you present your selection here, we may be able to give our opinion on your selection.

What is your 2.5V-3V input source? To get 5V at 3A output from a boost converter the source will have to provide about 6A. Can it do that?

You need to find a dc-dc boost converter capable of more than 6A. 7.5 to 10A would be best. Note that you'll need to ensure it starts at 2.5V -- some may not.

If you went to design one, start by looking for a chip that satisfies these requirements (possibly using an external switching element).

A problem you may face is that a switching MOSFET may require a Vgs higher than 2.5V. a possible solution is a separate boost converter to create the supply rail for your main boost converter.

Does your load actually need 3 amps?

Sometimes a device lists input power requirements higher than what is actually needed.
