How to test a mosfet?

    Hey guys..i am new in electronics..i want to know how to test mosfets using dmm? Thanks.

    Here's another testing of mosfet out of the circuit using digital multimeter. I just figure it out by myself. Hope it will help you.

    1. Set Digital Tester to Ohm or Resistance Test.
    2. Place Black probe to Source pin and Red probe to Drain. You may use alligator clip if you want. An infinite or OL reading will read in Tester. This means Mosfet was good and not shorted.
    3. While the 2 probes are still in place. Slightly touch the Red probe tip to Gate. There should be a reading of about 380k or lower between Drain and Source. Even Red probe was not touching the Gate.This means Mosfet can be turn on , triggered or conduct.

    Note: If you removed any of the probe from the mosfet. Resistance reading again wil revert back to OL.
