    Hi there,
Somebody please help me to make a regulator circuit for my amplifier project. I have a power supply board with 40-0-40 5A output. And the typical input voltage of my amp board is 12v. What do i do..?, How to regulate this 40v into 12v. How to manage heat in a regulator circuit.
    Thanks in advance.

40V to 12V is a long way to drop outside the range of most linear regulators and would be way too inefficient anyway ... massive amouonts of power wasted as heat
you could have a look buck converter circuits probably a much better way to go
    google is your friend :)
